1st VIII Gets Barford 2k Record

During a water outing on Wednesday 25th February, the current UWBC 1st VIII beat the previous time held for the 2km stretch on the Barford river (their home stretch). The 2km course begins at the stone bridge and finishes at the top of the straight, just up from the wier. The time for the piece was 6:11, beating the time set in term 3 by last years crew by 6 seconds (from 6:17).

The crew was:
Kobi Annan, Dan Garside, Ben Gittus-Smith, Ivan Indilo, Jamie Palmer, Björn Apelgren, Chris Martin, Chris Halls, Will Powell
